Big Bad Wolf is Quickspin's 2013 take on The Three Little Pigs and one of the studio's early slots. It is the original family member, preceding both Big Bad Wolf Christmas Special and Big Bad Wolf Megaways. Its defining feature is Swooping Reels combined with a stage-by-stage Pigs Turn Wild progression.
When winning symbols swoop away and more combinations form, pig symbols can become wild. After two, four and six consecutive swoops, successively more pig characters change into wilds. The mechanic rewards successive reel transformations in the rules of a single round; it does not allow any prediction of future results.
Three bonus scatters open ten free spins in the Blowing Down the House feature. During that mode, moon symbols can add spins and create the opportunity for a multiplier. The studio publishes two return-to-player versions, approximately 90% and 97%, rather than one fixed figure for every market.
Compared with the Megaways follow-up, the original does not offer 117,649 dynamically generated win ways. This article describes the first game's simpler arrangement and its distinctive pig-to-wild transformation.
